My Adventure:

Twelve GVSU students packed our backpacks and headed to Munising Friday evening on October 17th.  After an eight hour car ride, we arrived at Little Beaver Rock to set up our camp site in the darkest of night. After a short five hour sleep, we all hit the trails for 12 miles to our next camp site. Hiking along the shoreline of Lake Superior was absolutely breathtaking with the leaves changing color and the view over the lake. After the twelve miles, two Clif bars, a shared bag of Mountain House food, and purified Lake Superior purified water, it was time to settle down for the night. The next morning at we all woke up early, sore, and ready for the next day. We all left from Mosquito Beach at the same time and hiked to our finishing spot of Miners Castle. From there, we gathered the troops and headed to the U.P's finest, The Bear Trap Inn for the best burgers we had ever had.

Pictured Rocks is the most beautiful place to backpack in Michigan. I highly recommend backpacking up here in late September or early October when the leaves are changing colors.

An unforgettable trip!
